The story
For more than 32 years, Luc and Peggy have run a celebrated butcher shop in Hove. Fifteen years ago, they expanded their craft into a restaurant, and Butcher’s Dining was born — a place where a passion for meat and meticulous technique meet. The menu is a showcase for true meat lovers, featuring a broad selection of entrecôtes, dry-aged specialties, and seasonal dishes, all prepared with the finest ingredients.
This depth of expertise and quality has not gone unnoticed. Butcher's Dining has earned a place in the Michelin guide, a recognition that speaks to their unwavering commitment to top-tier ingredients and precise execution.
In the kitchen, Chef Dennis Broeckx brings a refined sensibility to the grill. A well-known figure in Antwerp’s gastronomic scene, formerly of L’Epicerie du Cirque, he is recognized for his elegant style, deep respect for the product, and knack for flavorful combinations. His connection with Luc De Laet and the butchery’s craftsmanship was a natural foundation for their collaboration. Here, Chef Broeckx can fully indulge his love for meat and his creativity. Beyond perfectly prepared beef, his menu also features innovative dishes, including refined fish preparations with a surprising twist. His expertise elevates the kitchen, focusing on quality, balance, and a true experience on the plate.
True to its roots, Butcher’s Dining translates the heritage of De Laet & Van Haver into gastronomy. The atmosphere is welcoming and unpretentious, with an emphasis on pure craftsmanship. During the summer, guests can enjoy Butcher’s Dining Outdoor, a relaxed and convivial setting for an evening of top-quality meat and carefully selected wines. Whether you choose a classic steak or one of Chef Broeckx’s inventive seasonal creations, the commitment to quality is evident in every dish.
