The story
Pull, in Tallinn’s Rotermann Quarter, has been recognized as a Recommended restaurant in the MICHELIN Guide Estonia for several consecutive years. The award reflects the consistency of a kitchen dedicated to grilling over real fire – a craft mastered by owners Enn Tobreluts and Andres Tuule, both celebrated grill masters.
Enn Tobreluts, an internationally known BBQ and grill chef, and Andres Tuule, with over 30 years in catering and restaurants, founded Pull in 2016. In 2024, executive chef Taigo Lepik took the helm. Former head chef at the Office of the President of Estonia and past president of the Estonian Chefs Association, Lepik blends the owners’ grilling expertise with a modern gastronomic approach.
The menu centres on premium meats from top farms worldwide. The signature dish is Enn Tobreluts’ “dirty steak”, cooked directly in the charcoal. Other popular choices include Angus marble steak, beef ribs, pulled pork, Pull burger, duck, salmon on plank, and ceviche. Wines are offered by glass or bottle, some via Coravin. The kitchen uses only free-range eggs and cooks most dishes over hot coals.
Pull occupies the historic grain elevator of the Rotermann Factories (built 1904–1930), a landmark industrial building that once served as a set for Tarkovsky’s film Stalker. The interior, designed by Ace of Space’s Ines Haak and Aap Piho, pairs contemporary style with preserved industrial details; paintings by Silver Koppel hang on the walls. The atmosphere is cosy, with good music and a relaxed, stylish vibe. A summer terrace seats 50, and a private room on the second floor accommodates 20–40 guests.
