The story
In October 2025, L'Itinérance in Mers-les-Bains began a new chapter with the arrival of Chef Victor Benoît. Trained in several Michelin-starred restaurants, Benoît takes his first head chef position here, crafting a personal cuisine inspired by the sea and the terroir of Picardy. The restaurant, which opened its doors in 2023 on the esplanade of Mers-les-Bains, has quickly become a destination for fine dining on the Picardy coast.
Housed in the former Hôtel Restaurant Bellevue, the establishment has been entirely redesigned by architect Caroline Tissier. The result is a modern, clean-lined space that complements the coastal setting. L'Itinérance also operates as a hotel, offering guests the chance to extend their stay in the seaside town.
Chef Victor Benoît’s cooking is a celebration of seasonal ingredients, with a focus on seafood and local produce. The menu evolves with the seasons, each dish telling a story between land and sea. The restaurant’s commitment to quality and creativity has earned it a Michelin recommendation, a testament to the team’s dedication to gastronomic excellence.
