The story
In the historic heart of Figeac, La Dînée du Viguier occupies the former guard room of a castle, a space that has been thoughtfully refreshed while retaining its original character. A grand fireplace, noble materials, and a warm atmosphere set the stage for a dining experience that feels both elegant and welcoming. During fine weather, meals can also be enjoyed in the peaceful inner courtyard.
The restaurant’s name revives an old term for the inn where travellers would stop to eat along their journey. Chef Grégory Diu, who took the helm in February 2025, brings that spirit of generous hospitality to life through his cooking. His cuisine is described as authentic and generous, built on carefully selected seasonal ingredients. The menu changes with the seasons, offering balanced and flavourful plates that reflect his creativity and respect for produce.

Diners can choose from a regularly evolving à la carte menu, as well as themed offerings such as a truffle menu or special holiday menus. The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner from Monday to Saturday, with occasional Sunday openings for holidays like Easter.
