The story
At the end of a long country road, between vineyards and lavender fields, stands Château Les Oliviers de Salettes. This 16th-century manor, built around a medieval square tower, was once a dependency of the Order of Saint-Jean. Today, its 31 hectares of vines, meadows, and lavender fields create a picturesque setting for the restaurant Lavandin. The domain sits at the heart of the Drôme Provençale, near Grignan and Montélimar, at the gates of Provence.
The kitchen is led by chefs Kevin Vaubourg and Lucille Routin, who orchestrate a modern cuisine that draws from the surrounding terroir. Their cooking earned Lavandin a Michelin star, a recognition of high-quality cooking that places the restaurant among the region's finest.
Dining at Lavandin is an epicurean affair. The table arts are refined, the furniture singular, and the wine list carefully sourced from remarkable artisans. The modern cuisine changes with the seasons, reflecting the bounty of the Drôme. Beyond the dinner service, the château offers a complete gourmet experience: Drômois breakfasts, picnics in the lavender fields, and creative cocktails by the pool. Whether in the elegant dining room or on the terrace overlooking the estate, each meal at Lavandin is a celebration of taste.
The Michelin-starred modern cuisine of Vaubourg and Routin is the heart of the experience, making Lavandin a destination for those seeking exceptional dining in a remarkable setting.
