The story
eins44 occupies a quiet corner of Neukölln, found in the third courtyard of Elbestraße 28/29. The space, called EINS44 Kantine Neukölln, offers both indoor and outdoor seating. Dinner service runs Tuesday through Saturday from 18:00 to 22:00.
The kitchen presents a short, seasonal menu that changes regularly. As of the current offering, guests can choose between a five-course menu (64 €) and a seven-course menu (89 €). Dishes include pointed cabbage with lovage and green tomato, mushroom bread with butter and whey, and pork jowl with radish and blood orange. A chawanmushi with sword mussel, Jerusalem artichoke, and Imperial caviar is available as a supplement. Skrei (cod) comes with caramelized onion and citrus beurre blanc, and a Franzbrötchen “Ahoi” features mussel and sour cream. Rhubarb with koshihikari rice and shiso closes the meal.
The cooking is rooted in modern international cuisine, with clear references to European technique and Japanese precision. Vegetarian options are marked on the menu, and the kitchen accommodates dietary preferences.
The restaurant has been recognized by the Michelin Guide, which recommends eins44 for its thoughtful composition and consistent execution. It is one of the newer entries in Berlin’s evolving dining landscape, earning a place among the city’s noteworthy tables.
