The story
At Remi on Torstraße, the kitchen works in the rhythm of nature. Menus change with the seasons, offering a modern take on what’s ripe and ready. The cooking is precise, ingredient-led, and – as the Michelin Bib Gourmand attests – delivers quality at a fair price. There is no fixed menu weeks in advance; the team adapts, sourcing what the markets and the calendar provide.
The restaurant sits in the Suhrkamp Haus, a building with literary history. Inside, the space is straightforward and unpretentious, with outdoor seating for warmer days. Remi is walk-in only, no reservations needed, and fully wheelchair accessible. It feels like a neighbourhood spot that happens to serve plates well above its category.
Lunch is served Tuesday through Saturday, dinner Monday through Saturday. On Saturdays and public holidays, a special lunch offering appears. The kitchen closes earlier than the dining room – lunch last orders at 14:15, dinner at 21:30 – so come early to enjoy the full experience.
Groups are welcome too. Send an email for events, and Remi will arrange a shared meal, midday or evening.
The restaurant’s recognition by the Bib Gourmand guide underlines what regulars already know: this is seasonal modern cuisine in Berlin that delivers substance without fuss. Walk in, sit down, and let the season decide.
