The story
Since 2026, Von Korff has held a Michelin Recommendation, an accolade that highlights the quiet excellence of this fourth-generation family-run restaurant in Meschede. Dirk and Antje von Korff continue a tradition that blends regional warmth with a modern, open-minded approach to dining and hospitality.
Dirk von Korff describes his cooking as "frische la carte Küche" – fresh, straightforward dishes built on carefully selected, sustainable ingredients. "I cook with joy and love for every single product," he says. The menu moves between Westphalian comfort and Mediterranean lightness, with vegetarian and vegan options woven throughout. Signature touches include a weekly rotation of seasonal recommendations, and an emphasis on produce without flavour enhancers or additives. The kitchen also offers a "Vorratsschrank" pantry where guests can buy soups, sauces, and bread to take home, and a reusable "Henkelmann to go" for leftovers.
The von Korff wine cellar is a point of pride, offering an interesting wine list curated with the senior chef’s expertise. Guests can dine in the elegantly understated interior, fitted with air purifiers, or on the outdoor terrace during warmer months. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible and provides parking.
Dishes range from a classic Wiener Schnitzel from veal loin to Iberico cheek with wild mushroom spaghetti, or a saffron soup with fish strips and scampi. The kitchen is open Monday to Saturday from 17:00 to 20:30, and the restaurant stays open until 22:00. Sunday is a day of rest. Von Korff’s approach is one of genuine hospitality – a place where the food speaks for itself, and the wine list invites exploration.
