The story
In the Piacentine valleys, inside a restored 1900s farmstead at Località Gariga 8, L'Ostreria Fratelli Pavesi is the work of three brothers—Giacomo, Camillo, and Giuseppe. Descendants of a long line of innkeepers and restaurateurs, they bring "passione e grande entusiasmo" to every plate. The name itself tells the story: an osteria rooted in tradition, yet unafraid to look forward.
The kitchen’s philosophy is refreshingly direct: seek out top-quality ingredients and treat them with care and respect. The menu bridges tradition and innovation, with simple, excellent products sourced almost entirely from local producers. Here, the agricultural and sustainable excellence of the Piacenza plain takes center stage. This commitment to honest, flavorful cooking earned L'Ostreria Fratelli Pavesi a Michelin Bib Gourmand—a recognition for good quality, good value cuisine that lets the ingredients speak.
Dine in a historic courtyard setting, with the option of outdoor seating during warmer months. The space is air-conditioned for comfort, and the interesting wine list offers thoughtful pairings. Open for lunch Tuesday through Sunday and dinner Wednesday through Saturday, it’s a place where modern country cooking feels both grounded and inspired.
