The story
At Teresita by Giardino di Mari, Chef Daniele Angelini has returned to Viareggio with a new chapter. A chef from Versilia who has earned two Michelin stars—first at Bistrot di Forte dei Marmi in 2011 and later at Parco di Villa Grey in 2020—Angelini now brings his experience to this seaside restaurant. The restaurant itself is a collaboration with sisters Moana and Valesca Palagi, who have run Giardino di Mari since 2021, continuing a family tradition that began with their parents in 1969.
The cuisine here is rooted in the Mediterranean and seafood, with an emphasis on selecting high-quality raw ingredients that speak strongly of the territory. Chef Angelini and his kitchen brigade attend to every detail of each course, aiming to create a memorable taste experience. The menu changes with the seasons, reflecting what is freshest and most vibrant at the moment. The restaurant’s recognition by the Michelin guide, listed as Recommended, underscores the consistent quality and care that defines the kitchen’s work.
In the dining room, Valesca and her team guide guests from the choice of dishes to the most suitable wine, all within a setting that balances elegance with a genuine family welcome. The restaurant offers air conditioning, outdoor seating, and wheelchair access, making it accessible for various dining preferences. Whether for a private party or a quiet dinner, the environment is designed to feel both relaxed and refined—a place where the passion for good food, handed down through generations, remains at the heart of every meal.
