The story
DiVino in Hapert brings together the best of Italian cuisine with a contemporary, modern approach. The kitchen respects classic Italian dishes while adding its own fresh, current twist. The result is a menu that feels both familiar and exciting – a balance that has earned the restaurant a loyal following.
Eric and Iris van Gerwen opened DiVino in 2015, combining their extensive hospitality experience with a clear vision: exceptional food and drink at a fair price. The restaurant quickly made its mark, winning Restaurant of the Year from Frits Magazine in 2019. That same year, Michelin awarded DiVino a Bib Gourmand, recognising its outstanding value for money – a distinction the restaurant proudly maintains.
The à la carte menu offers a wide selection, but the signature experience is the four-course food sharing menu, called DiVino. It’s designed for the table to share a selection of dishes, making the meal a social affair. The wine list is equally thoughtful: the team personally selects, tastes, and imports wines directly from Italian wineries. Guests can browse the wine library with staff guidance, or opt for a curated wine pairing to complement each course.
Beyond the food, DiVino is defined by its atmosphere. The team prioritises modern hospitality combined with Brabant down-to-earthness and conviviality. Whether you’re dining in the bright, airy space or on the outdoor terrace, the focus is on making guests feel welcome. The restaurant also offers a separate lunch menu and hosts events, blending fine dining with a relaxed, approachable style.
The Bib Gourmand from Michelin is a testament to DiVino’s commitment to quality and value. The menu Degustazione is a perfect example – a tasting menu that showcases the kitchen’s skill without pushing the bill too high. It’s this philosophy that makes DiVino a standout in Hapert and beyond.
