The story
In the heart of the Meierij, in Sint-Oedenrode, Koen Bomas and Inge Wollerich have created a restaurant that feels both fresh and deeply rooted. The building itself holds a rich culinary history: for Inge, it is a familiar place where she grew up, and for Koen, it is where he spent eight years working in the kitchen, honing his craft. Now, they write their own chapter here with Restaurant Bomas.
The atmosphere is warm and relaxed, a setting where refined gastronomy and genuine hospitality come together without pretense. The restaurant has already earned a place in the Michelin guide, a recognition that speaks to the precision and care in every dish.
The menu is built around the seasons. Koen Bomas works with the best ingredients the time of year has to offer, turning them into elegant, flavourful plates that tell a story. The cuisine is Modern French, but the approach is personal and creative.
Diners can choose from a five-course menu (EUR 95) or a six-course menu (EUR 105), each available with a curated wine pairing. A four-course lunch menu is also offered at EUR 80. For those who want to go further, signature dishes like langoustine with pumpkin and bisque, or sweetbread with Madeira, leek, and potato, can be added as an extra course. A Wagyu A4 supplement is available for those seeking something truly special. A full vegetarian menu is offered, though the kitchen does not cater to a vegan diet.
What makes Restaurant Bomas stand out is the sense of ownership and history. Koen and Inge are not just running a restaurant; they are building on a legacy. The result is a place that feels both ambitious and welcoming, where every detail—from the cooking to the service—reflects their shared passion.
Whether you come for lunch or dinner, the experience is designed to be memorable. The restaurant is open for lunch on Monday, Saturday, and Sunday, and for dinner Monday through Saturday, with Tuesday and Wednesday as closing days.
