At Bistro Amice in Warmond, owners Dion Krabbe and Edwin Vermeulen serve refined French and Mediterranean cuisine rooted in decades of friendship. They reunited during culinary training in Leiden and merged their separate paths into one kitchen. Dion draws inspiration from his years across various restaurant types to build precise plates. Edwin transitioned to guest service after his studies and has spent nearly a decade mastering hospitality. Their combined approach recently secured a Gault&Millau 12 score for reliable excellence.

Seasonal plates and ingredients

The menu shifts regularly to match what local suppliers deliver. Diners can choose between a seven-course chef tasting or pick individual dishes from the counter. The truffle pasta arrives with summer black truffle tossed through fresh linguine. Duck appears alongside raspberry ice and roasted red onion for a sharp contrast. Red mullet comes with fried mussels and a gochujang glaze to brighten the fish. Sweet finishes like honey melon with lavender and tonka bean close the meal without heaviness. Every plate reflects classic French preparation layered with Mediterranean accents.

The restaurant occupies a cozy corner building with a terrace overlooking the street. Its name translates directly from Latin to mean friend, which guides how the team welcomes guests.
