In the heart of Oslo, SAVAGE brings a distinctly personal vision to fine dining. The restaurant takes its name and inspiration from the childhood nickname of Executive Chef Andrea Selvaggini, who grew up on the outskirts of Rome. His global culinary journey—through Italy, France, Luxembourg, Spain, Mexico, and Norway—has shaped a kitchen that draws on technique and flavours from around the world, while remaining deeply rooted in its Nordic surroundings.
The name also speaks to the untamed nature that supplies much of the kitchen’s raw materials. Whether sourced from Norway’s cold seas or its pristine forests, ingredients arrive from the wild before being transformed by the team. The menu highlights the best of each season, combining seafood from the country’s rich coastline with inland meat and vegetables from small, passionate producers.
Guests can choose between two tasting experiences. The Shapes Of Nature menu presents 17 servings that journey through Norway’s ecosystems, while the Classics menu offers 13 servings of the restaurant’s most beloved dishes from recent years. Both are available with wine pairings, prestige pairings, or non-alcoholic options.
SAVAGE holds a Michelin star, a recognition of its high-quality cooking and the skill of Chef Selvaggini and his international team. The restaurant is open Wednesday to Saturday, welcoming diners to Nedre Slottsgate 2 for an evening that honours both the wild and the refined.
