The story
At the restored Pałac Ciekocinko in rural Choczewo, Luneta & Lorneta Bistro Club occupies the palace’s vaulted basement and spills into the garden when weather permits. It is a space designed for both intimacy and celebration: burgundy wallpaper, custom-made reproductions of Jack Vettriano’s noir‑tinged paintings, and the promise of “how tender the night can be.” The restaurant is open to all, not just hotel guests, and welcomes diners daily from 12:00 to 21:30 (the kitchen closes at 21:00; breakfast is also served from 08:00 to 10:30).
The bistro club leans into a Parisian bistro mood, yet it is equally at home hosting a jazz concert, a Moët & Chandon tasting, or a late‑night DJ set. The menu is guided by the Chef de Cuisine, whose work earned the restaurant a place in the Michelin Guide Poland (Recommended) within six months of the hotel’s opening. While the club does not publish a fixed list of dishes online, the emphasis is on refined, seasonal cooking paired with a carefully selected wine list featuring Bordeaux and other classics. The music shifts from funk and Latin rhythms to quiet conversation, making the space adaptable to a quick lunch or a lingering dinner.
The Michelin recommendation is a natural extension of the attention to detail that defines the entire palace estate. The bistro club’s interior, with its one‑off wallpaper and sensual reprints, mirrors the Art Deco and Secessionist spirit of the main building. Outdoor seating in the palace garden offers a quieter counterpoint, with birdsong replacing the basement’s vibrant soundtracks. Parking is available on site.
