The story
Hakkasan Bodrum, the tenth Hakkasan location worldwide, brings its award-winning cuisine to the shores of the Aegean Sea. Situated within the Mandarin Oriental, Bodrum, this open-air restaurant and bar overlooks the water, offering a setting that is both dramatic and serene. The space, designed by Campbell House, subtly nods to Bodrum’s famous Gulets with details in rope and timber, all while maintaining Hakkasan’s unmistakable modern Chinese aesthetic. It is a duality that grounds the experience in its local context while delivering a memorable Asian culinary journey.
The kitchen takes its inspiration from both contemporary and ancient China, celebrating Cantonese flavours with precision. The menu’s centrepiece is the Hakkasan Signature Peking Duck, praised for its perfectly sliced tender meat and crispy skin, served with pancakes, baby cucumber, and leek. Beyond this signature dish, the a la carte menu offers a wide range of dim sum, including a supreme selection of XO prawn har gau, truffle seabass, and kafir lime lobster. Seafood features prominently, with dishes like grilled black cod with eight-treasure rice and fresh truffle, or the spicy prawn in a curry lemongrass sauce. The cocktail menu is equally considered, featuring signature drinks like the Smoky Negroni and the Bodrum Breeze, a local-inspired blend of chamomile-infused vodka, white wine reduction, and yuzu.
Hakkasan Bodrum has earned a Michelin Recommended distinction, a testament to the consistent quality of its modern Cantonese cuisine. The restaurant’s commitment to its craft is evident in every detail, from the sourcing of ingredients to the artistry of its presentation. It is a place where the energy of a world-class dining brand meets the relaxed elegance of the Turkish Riviera, creating an experience that feels both celebratory and effortlessly refined.
