The story
Sachet brings a refined take on coastal Mediterranean cooking to Dallas’s Oak Lawn Avenue. The restaurant, recognized by the Michelin Guide as Recommended, describes its food as drawing inspiration from Southern Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa. The result is a menu that feels both broad and intentional, with each dish built around bright, layered flavors.
The kitchen moves from snacks and cold mezze to warm plates, handmade pasta, and grilled specialties. Start with green fava falafel served with mint yogurt and herb salad, or the wood-oven Texas blue oyster mushrooms over Greek fava purée with marcona almonds and marjoram. The Mediterranean grill section features a whole branzino, filleted and paired with Rancho Gordo heirloom bean salad and sauce provençal, alongside Texas wagyu steak frites with zhoug and shishito peppers. Handmade pastas change with the season — the campanelle with Turkish lamb ragu, roasted eggplant, labne, and fresh mint is a standout.
Sachet’s wine list has earned its own acclaim. The restaurant was named a 2022 James Beard Award national semifinalist for Outstanding Wine Program, and The Dallas Morning News called the list “an odyssey of its own.” The selection is designed to complement the food’s geographic range, from Greece and Lebanon to Spain and Morocco.
USA Today called Sachet “a jewel box of a dining spot,” and the space lives up to that description — intimate, polished, and welcoming. The bar is open for walk-ins at lunch and dinner, and the restaurant also offers outdoor seating and private dining options. It’s a place where the cooking, the wine, and the setting come together without fuss.
