The story
Since 1998, Casa D'Angelo has been a cornerstone of Italian fine dining in South Florida. Founded by Chef Angelo Elia and his wife Denise, the restaurant is rooted in the traditions of Salerno, Italy. Chef Elia, who first learned to cook from his mother and later honed his skills in New York City’s Four Seasons, brings a philosophy that is simple and direct: “it’s all about the ingredients.”
The menu is a celebration of authentic Italian cuisine, with dishes that are both rustic and refined. The kitchen, led by Executive Chefs Rickie Piper and Angelo Massanova, focuses on traditional recipes made from scratch. House-made pastas like the Mamma Fusilli, based on Angelo’s mother’s recipe, and the spinach and ricotta ravioli with butter and sage are classics. For mains, the grilled New York strip Fiorentina and the oven-roasted free-range chicken with Tuscan potatoes are standouts. The menu also offers a selection of crudi, including a beef filet carpaccio with shaved reggiano and truffle oil.
The wine program is a major draw. Casa D'Angelo has been recognized with the Wine Spectator Best of Award of Excellence every year since 2005, and also holds Gambero Rosso awards. The restaurant’s commitment to quality extends to its private dining and event spaces, making it a popular spot for those who appreciate the finer things in life.
