The story
On Main Highway in Miami, Los Félix is a restaurant that grounds its cooking in Meso-American heritage. The name pays homage to the grandmothers who carried ancestral wisdom, the mothers who preserved ceremony, and the fierce tenderness embodied by iconic muse Maria Felix. The result is a multi-sensory celebration of flavor, natural wine, and atmosphere.
The kitchen honors indigenous traditions by supporting Milpa farming, an ancestral method of cultivating heirloom corn, cacao, chiles, and squash with a sacred awareness of the connection between self and land. At the heart of the restaurant is an in-house Molino, where maiz is cooked and ground daily to make tortillas from scratch. This living wisdom—Milpa to mesa—defines the kitchen’s approach.
The dining room is set to the sound of vinyl records, and the wine list leans toward interesting, natural selections. Los Félix serves dinner Tuesday through Sunday, with brunch on weekends. The restaurant has held a Michelin Star since 2022 and also earned a Michelin Green Star in 2024 and 2025 for its commitment to sustainability.
