The story
For 25 years, Pèppoli at Pebble Beach has brought the warmth and flavors of Northern Italy to the California coast. The restaurant takes its name from one of the wine estates of Marchese Piero Antinori, a figure often called “the most important winemaker in Italy.” Stepping inside, you are immediately enveloped in the scents of Italian herbs and spices, with décor that transports you to a cozy Tuscan villa.
The menu is rooted in tradition, featuring dishes like Lasagna Tradizionale, Pappardelle Bolognese, and Osso Buco all’Antinori. A standout is the Tuscan T-Bone for Two, carved tableside and finished with a generous drizzle of Tuscan olive oil—a show-stopping signature dish praised by the Monterey County Herald. Many dishes are prepared on a wood-fired grill, adding a savory depth to classic Italian fare.
Pèppoli’s wine list is extraordinary, offering the widest selection of Antinori wines outside of Tuscany. Wine Spectator consistently honors the restaurant with its prestigious “Best of Award of Excellence.” Every staff member is a certified sommelier, ensuring a seamless dining experience.
This commitment to authentic Italian cuisine and world-class service has earned Pèppoli a Michelin Recommended distinction. The restaurant is a favorite dinner destination within the Pebble Beach Resorts, blending Italian traditions with the relaxed elegance of the Monterey setting. Every couple of years, Chef de Cuisine Angela Tamura travels to Italy for inspiration, returning with fresh pasta-making skills and ideas that keep the menu vibrant and true to its roots.
