The story
On Porter Road in Nashville’s East side, Cafe Roze runs from early morning until late evening, serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner under one roof. The restaurant describes itself simply: open for dine-in service for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with pickup available—and the food speaks for itself.
The menu changes across the day, from a daytime lineup of Stout Waffles with sumac strawberries and a Smashburger with mustard-grilled patties, to a dinner menu that brings dishes like Ricotta Cavatelli with Benton’s ham and English peas, or a Grilled Branzino with za’atar gremolata. The kitchen leans into American Contemporary cooking, with a brunch menu that runs through the morning. A short “In Between Menu” bridges the afternoon gap.
The beverage program is equally considered. Cocktails range from a Greenwood Martini with juniper pickle brine to a Porter Road Punch with rum and pineapple. The wine list includes bottles like a Côtes-du-Rhône from Domaine de la Chassagne and a Txakolina from Ameztoi, with plenty by the glass.
Cafe Roze earned a Michelin Recommended distinction, a nod to its consistent cooking and welcoming atmosphere. The space offers counter dining, outdoor seating, and a private room for events. It’s the kind of place where you can eat well any time of day—no pretense, just good food and drink.
