The story

Chambers: Contemporary Farm-to-Table Dining in TriBeCa, New York City

A TriBeCa Restaurant with a Neighborhood Soul

Chambers, on a quiet stretch of Chambers Street in TriBeCa, aims to be the kind of place you return to again and again. The team—Executive Chef Jon Karis, Beverage Director Pascaline Lepeltier, and General Manager Jared David—built it around a simple belief: you can have both meticulous, seasonal cooking and an exploratory, approachable beverage program, all in a setting that feels welcoming rather than stiff. The Michelin guide has taken notice, awarding the restaurant a Recommended distinction for 2026, praising its “seasonal New York City cooking” and “world-class and approachable” wine list.

The Kitchen and the Menu

Chef Jon Karis, a veteran of Gramercy Tavern, changes his menu weekly, leaning on European technique and the best of the Northeast’s farms. A recent menu opened with a sesame pizza bianca (complimentary with dinner), then moved to first courses like scallops with rhubarb and shiso, or veal sweetbreads with Tokyo turnips and garlic chives. For mains, the Snowdance Chicken—spinach, sherry, thyme—and a golden tilefish with asparagus and hollandaise are the kind of dishes that feel both refined and deeply satisfying. Sides like potatoes with ramps and broccolini with smoked schmaltz round out the meal.

The Wine Program

Pascaline Lepeltier, a Master Sommelier and former Best French Sommelier, curates a wine list that champions natural, soulful producers. She and her team have built a collection that is both deep and accessible—whether you’re ordering by the glass or diving into a bottle from a small Loire Valley grower. The restaurant also offers a thoughtful selection of spirits and fermented beverages, making the bar a destination in its own right.

The Vibe

Chambers describes itself as “destination worthy dining, with a neighborhood vibe.” The dining room is comfortable, the service led by Jared David (formerly of Babbo and Racines) is warm and attentive. There’s a bar and communal table for walk-ins, plus a kitchen counter where you can watch the team work. It’s the sort of place where a special occasion dinner and a spontaneous drink at the bar feel equally at home.
