The story
Le Rock anchors the renaissance of Rockefeller Center—a thoughtful revamp of a historic Art Deco space from James Beard Award-winning chefs Lee Hanson and Riad Nasr. The team behind some of Manhattan’s best restaurants (Frenchette, Le Veau d'Or) has created an updated take on a grand brasserie in an iconic location. Set on 50th Street between Fifth and Sixth Avenues, Le Rock sits adjacent to the Theater District, MoMA, and Radio City Music Hall.
The kitchen focuses on French cuisine, served in a setting that feels both grand and welcoming. Dinner offerings include classics like Sole Meunière with lemon and brown butter, Steak Frites with a New York strip and butter maître d’, and Filet Au Poivre finished with Sarawak pepper, cream, and cognac. A raw bar presents oysters with chipolatas, chilled shrimp cocktail, and live scallops. For dessert, the Profiterole with buckwheat honey fudge and the Baba aux Chartreuses are worth saving room for. Lunch and brunch are also served, with options like Eggs Benedict and French Toast.
Le Rock’s thoughtful approach to a grand brasserie experience earned it a Michelin Recommended distinction in 2026—a fitting nod to the caliber of cooking and hospitality that defines this Rockefeller Center destination.
