The story
The menu is built on a commitment to truly seasonal, market-driven cuisine. Ingredients come from local farmers and vendors with sustainable practices, and the kitchen turns out a range of rustic Italian wood-fired vegetables, handmade pastas, and small plates for sharing. Breakfast begins with handcrafted breads and pastries—almond croissants, cinnamon rolls, olive oil cake—alongside hearty egg dishes like the wood-fired peperonata skillet or the Milo breakfast with bacon and roasted potatoes. Lunch and dinner bring a selection of classic and seasonal pizzas, made with Zoe Nathan’s signature 48-hour dough. The Margherita, Diavola, and Woodsman (with wild mushrooms and housemade sausage) are standouts, and gluten-free crust is available.
The restaurant also serves as the bread-baking hub for the restaurant group, where the team experiments with new varieties using organic, whole-grain flours. The wine and beer list is curated by Wine Director Kathryn Coker, highlighting small vineyards and breweries, while cocktails rotate with the seasons. Espresso drinks and drip coffee come from small-batch Ojai roaster Bonito Coffee.
Open daily from 7am to 10pm, Milo + Olive offers breakfast, weekend brunch, lunch, and dinner, with a warm, welcoming atmosphere that fits its neighborhood roots.
