Mad Dogs & Englishmen has been a fixture in Tampa since 1991, when founders Wilton Morley and Colonel Rick Craig opened its doors. The restaurant’s name and spirit are rooted in a theatrical lineage—Morley’s father and grandmother were British character actors, and his grandfather founded the legendary Bucks Club in Mayfair. This heritage of eccentricity and excellence is woven into the fabric of the place.

Now part of Oxford Commons Hospitality Company, Mad Dogs & Englishmen remains dedicated to “Excellence, Eccentricity and Empire.” The team—Blake, Allison, Wilton, and the Colonel—shares the best of Britain with South Tampa at its home on South MacDill Avenue. The kitchen is led by Executive Chef Jeff Clark.
